Fajr Capital was founded in 2008 by a group of institutions to create a homegrown investment platform that combines financial services and real economy investments, creating value for shareholders and for society.

Committed capital of over USD 700m from a diverse mix of sovereign and private investors, including Abu Dhabi Investment Council, Brunei Investment Agency, HSBC, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Mohammad Alsubeaei & Sons Investment Company (MASIC) and Lembaga Tabung Haji.

Inaugural Investment in BIBD
